Last month, I visited one of the most famous place in Old Delhi with my friends. We wanted to get a photoshoot done, so we choose Chandni Chownk as our location. Chandni Chownk is a busy place in Old Delhi which is famous for historical monuments, wholesale shopping and some oldest eating joints. We planned the entire visit beforehand so that we could complete our photoshoot before the sun get's high on us (as it is hot in Delhi from April). So, let me take you along with the experience of A Day in Chandni Chownk, Delhi, India.
Wake up Early...
We went on a Sunday as the markets are closed and we would see less crowd. Whenever you plan a photoshoot then make sure that you wake up early. It is said that morning pictures come out to be really good. So, all of us got ready and met at Kanhaiya Nagar Metro Station around 7: 15 am. By the way, let me tell you Divya and Vishakha joined me for the photoshoot and Chanchal was our photographer for that day.
Travel Options...
If you want to visit Chandni Chownk then one of the best travel mode is Delhi Metro. There are multiple metro station around this area like:
Red Fort : If you have to visit Red Fort then get down at this metro station and walk for 10 minutes.
Jama Masjid : This metro station is just near Jama Masjid and Meena Bazaar.
Chandni Chownk : If you want to visit the main market then get down at this metro station and walk freely while shopping on the go.
Chawri Bazaar : This metro station is near the areas like Chawri Bazaar and Nai Sarak.
Our First Location...
We got down at Kashmere Gate and took Violet Line Metro (going towards Escorts Mujesar) and got down at Jama Masjid. The metro station exit gate is near Meena Bazaar.
Meena Bazaar
In Mughal Era, Meena Bazaar was mean to be a market to entertain women. In historic times, it was known as Khus Ruz (Day of Joy). The market was opened on particular days for women only. This market is located between Jama Masjid and Dariba Kalan. It has different shopkeepers selling various items on local stalls. If you are looking for affordable or low priced items then you can visit Meena Bazaar and shop. But remember, you need to bargain well and search for good quality things, so visit this place when you have some extra time in hand.
Jama Masjid
We went through the street of Meena Bazaar and reached Jama Masjid. This was our first location to get clicked. Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India. It was built by Shah Jahan and inaugurated by an Imam from Bukhara. This is an Islamic architect structure and enlightens with lights and joy during the month of Ramadan (Muslim's Holy month). When you are visiting this mosque then you should not wear short dresses as you would be prohibited from entering the place or you would be required to wear a long gown available at the entrance. We located a good place at the entrance stairs of Jama Masjid and got clicked there by Chanchal, our photographer.
Red Fort
Once we were done with our shoot at Jama Masjid then we walked down (for 20 minutes) to Red Fort. Red Fort is an historic fort in Delhi which was the main residence of Mughal dynasty emperors till 1856. It is a fort open for public to visit and see the best designs of our historical architecture. There is large open space outside the fort, so we prepared to get clicked there. You will notice a lot of public at Red Fort, so just ignore and get best clicks. We wrapped up from this place soon and then headed to Chawri Bazaar.
Chawri Bazaar
We took a rickshaw (paid Rs. 80 for four people) from Red Fort and went to Chawri Bazaar (near Chawri Bazaar Metro Station). Chawri Bazaar is a wholesale market for brass, paper and copper products. It was established in 1840, being the first wholesale market of Old Delhi.
You can get down at Chawri Bazaar metro station to visit this market. As we went on a holiday, so the markets were closed and we could see different coloured shutters around. These shutters became our photography backdrop and we got good pictures clicked.
Chandni Chownk
We roamed around Chawri Bazaar to get random clicks and then took metro to Chandni Chownk. You can also take a rickshaw to Chandni Chownk, but that day some construction work was going on so the main road of Chandni Chownk had one way traffic. We got clicked in vehicles too for some extra fun. We head over to the famous Old Jalebi Wala shop to enjoy some samosa and jalebi. This shop is very famous and serves one of the best Jalebi. It is opposite Central Bapist Church, Dariba Kalan. It is a small shop since 1884 being run by different generations till date. They serve hot and delicious jalebi and samosa. We enjoyed the delicious treat a lot.
Last Stop...
As we finished our photoshoot then we headed to Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib. This is historic sikh gurudwara where the ninth Sikh Guru, Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji, was beheaded on 24th November 1675 on the orders of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb (because Guru Sahib refused to convert into Islam). This is a peaceful place where Ragis recite hymns all day long. People visit the gurudwara and bow infront of Guru Granth Sahib and pray for themselves.
Not to Miss...
Opposite Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib is famous Benagli shop named as Annapurna Bhandar. This shop serves authentic Bengali sweets and few snacks. This shop is so famous that all their sweets are sold by 5 pm. You must taste some Bengali sweets from this shop.
Back Home...
Around 12 noon, we took metro from Chandni Chownk metro station to our respective stations near our home. All of us enjoyed the day at Chandni Chownk and came back home with lots of good memories.

My Experience
I got Motorola Pulse Escape Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones as a PR gift from iRobot, so I was excited to try them. When I opened the box then I took out the headphones. The headphones were folded, hence they take less space when I carry them while travelling. I connected the headphones to the power bank with the USB so that they get fully charged. It is always recommended to charge devices before using them for the first time.
Once the headphones were fully charged then I turned ON the Bluetooth and connected the headphones to my mobile phone. The headphones were visible as "Pulse Escape", so I paired them with my device. Once the headphones are connected to the device then you don't need to reconnect every time. The headphones gets connected automatically every time you turn ON the Bluetooth. Just wear, play and enjoy!
There are play, pause and forward buttons with which you can Play Music, Pause or Move to the Next Song respectively. You can also answer a phone call through the headphones by clicking on the Play button.
The headphones work well for 8-10 hours in single charge. But I don't let the battery drain completely as it is not good for the life of digital devices, so I put the headphones to charge when there is 30% battery left.
As the brand claims, the music experience is noise-free and yes I enjoyed listening to my favourite song and didn't care what was going on in the background. But there is one thing that I didn't like that the song which I was listening could be heard by my family too. Though the person listening to music will have noise-free experience, but the world outside would be able to hear what you are playing if the volume is full. The sound comes out of the headphones, which I didn't like. Except this, Motorola Pulse Escape Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones are amazing if you are looking for budget friendly headphones to enjoy music or talk hands-free.
Rating
I would rate these headphones as 4/5. I am using them and love to hear music while working or travelling around. So, you should give it a try if you are on tight budget and want a good quality headphones.

My Experience
